Say, "Lord, if you will afflict them with punishment, 93 do not, O my Sustainer, let me be one of those evildoing folk!" 94 We certainly have the power to show you what they have been warned about. 95 Respond to the injustice (done to you) with the better deed. We know best what they attribute to God. 96 And say, "My Lord, I seek refuge in You from the incitements of the devils, 97 And I seek refuge in Thee! O my Lord! from their presence. 98 (In Falsehood will they be) Until, when death comes to one of them, he says: "O my Lord! send me back (to life),- 99 so that I might act righteously in whatever I have failed [aforetime]!" Nay, it is indeed but a [meaningless] word that he utters: for behind those [who leave the world] there is a barrier [of death] until the Day when all will be raised from the dead! 100 For when the Trumpet is blown, that day there shall be no kinship any more between them, neither will they question one another. 101 If the side of ones good deeds weighs heavier on a scale, he will have everlasting happiness, 102 And the ones whose scales prove light – it is they who put their lives into ruin, remaining in hell forever. 103 The fire lashes their faces and therein are shriveled lips. 104 Were not My communications recited to you? But you used to reject them. 105 They will say: "Our Lord! Our wretchedness overcame us, and we were (an) erring people. 106 Our Lord, bring us out of it. If we return (to sin), then we shall indeed be harmdoers' 107 He will say: "Be ye driven into it (with ignominy)! And speak ye not to Me! 108 There was a section among My creatures that said: 'O Lord, we believe. Forgive us and have mercy upon us, for You are the best of the merciful.' 109 But you took them for laughingstock, mocking at them, until they caused you to forget My remembrance. 110 Verily I have recompensed them today, for they bore patiently, verily they are the achievers. 111 He will say: How many years did you tarry in the earth? 112 They will say: "A day or less than a day. Ask the enumerators of numbers." 113 He will say: "You stayed only for a while, if you only knew that. 114 Did you think that We had created you only for play, and that you would never be returned to Us' 115 So exalted be Allah, the True King; no god is there but He, the Lord of the honorable dominion. 116 Hence, he who invokes, side by side with God, any other deity - [a deity] for whose existence he has no evidence - shall but find his reckoning with his Sustainer: [and,] verily, such deniers of the truth will never attain to a happy state! 117 And (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) say, “My Lord! Forgive and have mercy, and You are the Best of all the Merciful. 118
