Say: My Lord! If Thou shouldst show me that which they are promised. 93 Then do not, O Lord, put me among the sinners." 94 And verily We are Able to show thee that which We have promised them. 95 Repel thou the evil with that which is the best, We are the Best Knower of that which they utter. 96 And pray: "My Lord! I seek Your refuge from the suggestions of the evil ones; 97 I seek refuge with You, Lord, lest they should come near me." 98 [For such is the state of the disbelievers], until, when death comes to one of them, he says, "My Lord, send me back 99 so that I might act righteously in whatever I have failed [aforetime]!" Nay, it is indeed but a [meaningless] word that he utters: for behind those [who leave the world] there is a barrier [of death] until the Day when all will be raised from the dead! 100 And when the trumpet is blown there will be no kinship among them that day, nor will they ask of one another. 101 Then as for him whose good deeds are preponderant, these are the successful. 102 But those whose scales weigh light will have ruined their souls; in Hell will they abide. 103 The fire lashes their faces and therein are shriveled lips. 104 Were not My communications recited to you? But you used to reject them. 105 They will say: Our Lord! Our evil fortune conquered us, and we were erring folk. 106 Our Lord, remove us from it, and if we were to return [to evil], we would indeed be wrongdoers." 107 God will say, "Stay there and do not speak to Me. 108 Surely there was a party of My servants who said: O our Lord! we believe, so do Thou forgive us and have mercy on us, and Thou art the best of the Merciful ones. 109 “So you took them for a mockery until your mocking at them made you forget My remembrance, and you used to laugh at them!” 110 “Indeed this day I have rewarded them for their endurance, so that it is they who are the successful.” 111 [And] He will ask [the doomed]: "What number of years have you spent on earth?" 112 They will say: "We stayed for a day or part of a day. Ask of those who keep count of this." 113 [Whereupon] He will say: "You have spent there but a short while: had you but known [how short it was to be]! 114 So do you think that We have created you needlessly, and that you do not have to return to Us? 115 Then high exalted be God, the King, the True! There is no god but He? the Lord of the noble Throne. 116 And the one who worships any other God along with Allah of which he does not have any proof his account is with his Lord; indeed there is no salvation for the disbelievers. 117 And say: 'My Lord, forgive and have mercy, for You are the Best of the merciful' 118
God the Almighty always says the truth.
