Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Ya, Seen. 1 By oath of the wise Qur’an. 2 verily, thou art indeed one of God's message-bearers, 3 upon a Straight Path. 4 the sending down of the All-mighty, the All-wise, 5 [bestowed upon thee] so that thou mayest warn people whose forefathers had not been warned, and who therefore are unaware [of the meaning of right and wrong]. 6 Certainly the word has proved true of most of them, so they do not believe. 7 We have indeed put shackles around their necks reaching up to the chins, so they remain facing upwards. 8 And We have set a bar before them and a bar behind them, and (thus) have covered them so that they see not. 9 And it is alike unto them, whether thou warnest them or warnest them not; they shall not believe. 10 You only warn he who follows the Remembrance and fears the Merciful in the Unseen. Give to him glad tidings of forgiveness and a generous wage. 11 It is We who bring the dead to life and records the deeds of human beings and their consequences (of continual effects). We keep everything recorded in an illustrious Book. 12
