64 verses, revealed in Medina after Exodus (Al-Hashr) before Pilgrimage (Al-Hajj)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ This is a chapter which We have sent down and appointed; and in it We have sent down clear verses in order that you will remember. 1 AS FOR the adulteress and the adulterer flog each of them with a hundred stripes, and let not compassion with them keep you from [carrying out] this law of God, if you [truly] believe in God and the Last Day; and let a group of the believers witness their chastisement. 2 The adulterer can marry no one but an adulteress or his partner (in the act), and the adulteress cannot marry any but an adulterer or her partner (in the act). This is forbidden the believers, 3 And those who accuse clean women and then bring not four eyewitnesses, scourge them with eighty stripes and accept not their testimony forever. And these! they are the transgressors 4 Unless they repent thereafter and mend (their conduct); for Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. 5 And for those who accuse their wives, but have no witnesses except themselves, let the testimony of one of them be four testimonies (i.e. testifies four times) by Allah that he is one of those who speak the truth. 6 And the fifth (time) that the curse of Allah be on him if he is one of the liars. 7 (As for the woman), it shall avert the punishment from her if she swears four times by Allah that the man is false (in his charge) 8 And the fifth time, that the wrath of Allah be upon her if the man is truthful. 9 But for God's bounty to you and His mercy and that God turns, and is All-wise -- 10

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
