Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the loosed ones successively 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 By the spreading winds spreading. 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 And then by those that instil Remembrance into the hearts. 5 By way of excuse or warning. 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 When the stars are obliterated, 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 And when the mountains are blown away, 10 and when the messengers are brought together at the appointed time -- 11 If one asks, "To which day have such calamitous events been postponed?" 12 The Day of Judgement. 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 This is how We deal with the guilty. 18 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 19 Did We not create you of a mean water, 20 The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed, 21 For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)? 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle 25 for the living and the dead, 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 28 Proceed now towards that which you were wont to deny as false; 29 Depart unto the shadow three branched: 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 As if they were Jimalatun Sufr (yellow camels or bundles of ropes)." 33 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 34 that Day on which they will not [be able to] utter a word, 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 40
