Blessed is He who, if He willed, could have made for you [something] better than that - gardens beneath which rivers flow - and could make for you palaces. 10 No, they belied the Hour. We have prepared for him who belied the Hour a Blaze. 11 When it shall come into their sight from a distant place, they shall hear its vehement raging and roaring. 12 And when they are flung into a strait place thereof, bound up, they shall call therein unto death. 13 (Then it will be said to them:) "Do not call for one death today, but call for many deaths." 14 Say, "Which is better, this or the Paradise of immortality which the righteous have been promised? It is their recompense and their destination." 15 There will they have whatever they wish, and there abide for ever." This is a promise incumbent on your Lord which will certainly be fulfilled. 16 Upon the day when He shall muster them and that they serve, apart from God, and He shall say, 'Was it you that led these My servants astray, or did they themselves err from the way?' 17 They will answer: "Limitless art Thou in Thy glory! It was inconceivable for us to take for our masters anyone but Thyself! But [as for them] Thou didst allow them and their forefathers to enjoy [the pleasures of] life to such an extent that they forgot all remembrance [of Thee]: for they were people devoid of all good." 18 the Remembrance, and were a people corrupt.' So they cried lies touching the things you say, and you can neither turn it aside, nor find any help. Whosoever of you does evil, We shall let him taste a great chastisement. 19 O Muhammad,, all the Messengers whom We sent before you also ate food and moved about in the streets. In fact, We have made you all a means of test for one another. Will you show patience? for your Lord sees everything. 20
