And (remember) when your Lord said to Moosa, “Go to the unjust people.” 10 the people of Pharaoh: do they have no fear?" 11 He replied, "Lord, I am afraid that they will call me a liar. 12 “I feel hesitant, and my tongue does not speak fast, therefore make Haroon also a Noble Messenger.” 13 And they have a charge (of murder) against me. So I fear that they will kill me." 14 (It was) said: "By no means. Go with My signs, both of you. I am verily with you and I hear. 15 So go ye twain unto Fir'awn and say: verily we are the apostles of the Lord of the Worlds, 16 Then send with us the children of Israel. 17 (Pharaoh) said (unto Moses): Did we not rear thee among us as a child? And thou didst dwell many years of thy life among us, 18 And yet thou didst commit that [heinous] deed of thine, and [hast thus shown that] thou art one of the ingrate!" 19 He said: I did it then, when I was of those who are astray. 20 So I ran away from you out of fear. But my Lord has given me wisdom, and made me an apostle. 21 And this is the favor with which you oblige me: You have made the Israelites your slaves. 22 The Pharaoh asked, "Who is the Lord of the Universe?" 23 (Moses) said: "The Lord and Cherisher of the heavens and the earth, and all between,- if ye want to be quite sure." 24 Said he to those about him, 'Do you not hear?' 25 He said: your Lord and the Lord of your ancient fathers. 26 Said Firaun, “This (Noble) Messenger of yours, who has been sent towards you, has no intelligence!” 27 He said, 'The Lord of the East and West, and what between them is, if you have understanding,' 28 [Pharaoh] said, "If you take a god other than me, I will surely place you among those imprisoned." 29 He said: even though I bring unto thee something manifest? 30 (Pharaoh) said: "Show it then, if thou tellest the truth!" 31 So [Musa (Moses)] threw his stick, and behold, it was a serpent, manifest. 32 Then he uncovered his hand and it was sheer white to the onlookers. 33
