▼ 25 The Statute Book
Al-Furqaan 6 of 6
Blessed is He who has placed in the sky great stars and placed therein a [burning] lamp and luminous moon. 61 And He it is who causes the night and the day to succeed one another, [revealing Himself in His works] unto him who has the will to take thought - that is has the will to be grateful. 62 The servants of the All-merciful are those who walk in the earth modestly and who, when the ignorant address them, say, 'Peace'; 63 Those who spend the night in adoration of their Lord prostrate and standing; 64 And they who say: O our Lord! turn away from us the punishment of hell, surely the punishment thereof is a lasting 65 Indeed, it is an evil abode and evil dwelling-place." 66 And they who when they spend, are neither extravagant nor parsimonious, and (keep) between these the just mean. 67 And those who do not invoke with Allah another deity or kill the soul which Allah has forbidden [to be killed], except by right, and do not commit unlawful sexual intercourse. And whoever should do that will meet a penalty. 68 (But) the Penalty on the Day of Judgment will be doubled to him, and he will dwell therein in ignominy,- 69 Except those who repent and believe (in Islamic Monotheism), and do righteous deeds, for those, Allah will change their sins into good deeds, and Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. 70 And whoever repents and does good has truly turned to Allah with an (acceptable) conversion;- 71 And those who do not give false testimony, and when they pass near some indecency, they pass by it saving their honour. 72 And those who, when they are admonished by the commands of Allah, fall not down thereat, deaf and blind. 73 And they who say: O our Lord! grant us in our wives and our offspring the joy of our eyes, and make us guides to those who guard (against evil). 74 These shall be rewarded with high places because they were patient, and shall be met therein with greetings and salutations. 75 And abide there for ever: What an excellent destination and abode! 76 Say (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) “You have no value before My Lord if you do not worship Him; so you have denied – therefore the punishment that remains, will occur.” 77

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
