In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Ta. Sin, Mim. 1 These are the Verses of the manifest Book [this Quran, which was promised by Allah in the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel), makes things clear]. 2 Perhaps you consume yourself that they are not believers. 3 Had We wanted, We would have sent them a miracle from the sky to make their heads hang down in submission. 4 Whenever a new message comes to them from the Beneficent God, they turn away from it. 5 thus, indeed, have they given the lie (to this message as well). But [in time] they will come to understand what it was that they were wont to deride! 6 Do they not see the earth, and what beneficial kinds of things We have caused to grow in it? 7 Verily, in this is a Sign: but most of them do not believe. 8 And most surely your Lord is the Mighty, the Merciful. 9

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
