In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Ta-Sin-Mim. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings.] 1 These are the verses of the Book that makes things clear. 2 Perhaps you will kill yourself with grief because they do not believe. 3 If We will, We can send down on them a sign from heaven before which their necks will remain humbled. 4 And never does a new advice come to them from the Most Gracious, but they turn away from it. 5 thus, indeed, have they given the lie (to this message as well). But [in time] they will come to understand what it was that they were wont to deride! 6 Observe they not the earth, how much We make to grow therein of every fruitful kind? 7 Surely there is a Sign in this, but most of them would not believe. 8 Your Lord is surely mighty and merciful. 9

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
