The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Successful indeed are the believers, 1 Those who humbly cry in their prayers. 2 And who do not incline towards indecent matters. 3 Who strive for betterment; 4 And they who guard their private parts 5 save from their wives, or those whom their right hands possess; for with regard to them they are free from blame " 6 But whoso craveth beyond that, such are transgressors - 7 And those who fulfil their trusts and keep their promises; 8 and who guard their Prayers. 9 Those are the inheritors 10 Who will inherit Paradise: they will dwell therein (for ever). 11 And indeed We created man (Adam) out of an extract of clay (water and earth). 12 which was then turned into a living germ and placed in safe depository. 13 then We created of the drop a clot then We created of the clot a tissue then We created of the tissue bones then We garmented the bones in flesh; thereafter We produced him as another creature. So blessed be God, the fairest of creators! 14 Then verily, thereafter, ye are sure to die. 15 and then on the Day of Resurrection you shall certainly be raised up. 16 And indeed, We have created above you seven [celestial] orbits: and never are We unmindful of [any aspect of Our] creation. 17 We sent down water from the sky in due measure and lodged it in the earth, but if We please, We have the power to take it away, 18 Then We produce for you therewith gardens of date-palms and grapes, wherein is much fruit for you and whereof ye eat; 19 Also a tree springing out of Mount Sinai, which produces oil, and relish for those who use it for food. 20 And indeed there is also a lesson for you in cattle. We provide you with drink out of what they have in their bellies; and you have many other benefits in them: you eat of them, 21 and are carried on them and also on ships. 22
