And (remember) when your Lord called Musa (Moses) (saying): "Go to the people who are Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doing), 10 the people of Pharaoh, who refuse to be conscious of Me!" 11 He said: "My Lord! Verily, I fear that they will belie me, 12 And I shall be embarrassed, and my tongue will not speak plainly, therefor send for Aaron (to help me). 13 Moreover, they keep a grave charge [pending] against me, and I fear that they will slay me." 14 He said: by no means. So go ye twain with Our signs; verily We shall be with you listening. 15 “Therefore approach Firaun then proclaim, ‘We both are Noble Messengers of the Lord Of The Creation.’ 16 Send the Israelites with us". 17 (Pharaoh) said (unto Moses): Did we not rear thee among us as a child? And thou didst dwell many years of thy life among us, 18 "And you did your deed, which you did (i.e. the crime of killing a man). And you are one of the ingrates." 19 Said Moosa, “I did that at a time when I was unaware of the consequences.” (In anger See verse 28:15) 20 "So I fled from you when I feared you. But my Lord has granted me Hukman (i.e. religious knowledge, right judgement of the affairs and Prophethood), and appointed me as one of the Messengers. 21 Now this is the favour that you tauntingly remind me of: that you enslaved the Children of Israel!" 22 Pharaoh said: "And what is the 'Lord and Cherisher of the worlds'?" 23 [Moses] answered: "[He is] the Sustainer of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them: if you would but [allow yourselves to] be convinced!" 24 'Do you not hear' said he (Pharaoh) to those around him. 25 Moses continued, "He is the Lord and the Lord of your forefathers." 26 (Pharaoh) said: 'Surely, the Messenger who has been sent to you is mad!' 27 He said, “The Lord of the East and the West and all that is between them; if you have sense.” 28 Said Firaun, “If you ascribe any one else as a God other than me, I will surely imprison you.” 29 'What, even if I brought you something clear' said he (Moses). 30 (Pharaoh) said: "Show it then, if thou tellest the truth!" 31 So he cast down his rod, and lo! it was an obvious serpent, 32 And he drew out his hand; thereupon it was white for the observers. 33
