And (remember) when your Lord called Musa (Moses) (saying): "Go to the people who are Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doing), 10 the people of Pharaoh, will they not fear God? 11 He said, "My Lord, indeed I fear that they will deny me 12 and then my breast will be straitened and my tongue will not be free: send, then, [this Thy command] to Aaron. 13 They have charged me [with a crime] for which I am afraid they will kill me." 14 He said: "Certainly not! So go both of you with Our Signs. We shall be with you listening to everything. 15 And come together unto Pharaoh and say: Lo! we bear a message of the Lord of the Worlds, 16 That you should send the children of Israel with us.' 17 He said, 'Did we not raise thee amongst us as a child? Didst thou not tarry among us years of thy life? 18 And you commited what you did, and you are ungrateful!" 19 Moses said, "I did do it and I made a mistake. 20 Then I fled from you when I feared you, and my Lord bestowed on me wisdom and made me one of the sent ones. 21 "And this is the favour with which thou dost reproach me,- that thou hast enslaved the Children of Israel!" 22 Pharaoh said, "What is this: Lord of the Universe?" 23 He said: Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatsoever is in-between, if ye seek to be convinced. 24 (The Pharaoh) said to those around him: "Do you hear?" 25 Moses went on, "He is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers." 26 The Pharaoh said, "The Messenger who has been sent to you is certainly insane". 27 [Moses] said, "Lord of the east and the west and that between them, if you were to reason." 28 Pharaoh said: "If you take any god other than me, I will certainly make you one of those (who are rotting) in prison." 29 [Moses] said, "Even if I brought you proof manifest?" 30 [Pharaoh] answered: "Produce it, then, if thou art a man of truth!" 31 So Moosa put down his staff and it became a visible serpent. 32 and he drew his hand (out of his armpit) and lo! it had become a shining object to the beholders. 33
