And when your Lord called to Moses, saying: 'Go to the harmdoing nation, 10 The people of Fir'awn; fear they Me not? 11 He said, 'My Lord, I fear they will cry me lies, 12 “I feel hesitant, and my tongue does not speak fast, therefore make Haroon also a Noble Messenger.” 13 They have charged me [with a crime] for which I am afraid they will kill me." 14 (It was) said: "By no means. Go with My signs, both of you. I am verily with you and I hear. 15 And go, both of you, unto Pharaoh and say, 'Behold, we bear a message from the Sustainer of all the worlds: 16 [Commanded to say], "Send with us the Children of Israel."'" 17 Pharaoh said: "Did we not bring you up among us when you were a child? 18 And thou didst that thy deed which thou didst, and thou wast one of the ingrates. 19 Moses said: "I did it then, when I was in error. 20 Then I fled from you when I feared you, and my Lord vouchsafed me a command and appointed me (of the number) of those sent (by Him). 21 And is this a favor of which you remind me - that you have enslaved the Children of Israel?" 22 Pharaoh said: "And who is this Lord of the Universe?" 23 Moses answered: "The Lord of the heavens and the earth and of all that is between them, if you were only to believe." 24 [Pharaoh] said to those around him, "Do you not hear?" 25 Musa (Moses) said: "Your Lord and the Lord of your ancient fathers!" 26 [Pharaoh] said, "Indeed, your 'messenger' who has been sent to you is mad." 27 [But Moses] went on: "[He of whom I speak is] the Sustainer of the east and the west and of all that is between the two - as you would know]" if you would but use your reason!" 28 Pharaoh said, "If you take any deity other than myself, I will throw you into prison," 29 Said Moosa, “Even if I bring to you something clear?” 30 [Pharaoh] answered: "Produce it, then, if thou art a man of truth!" 31 So Moses threw down his staff and suddenly it appeared as a serpent, plainly visible. 32 And he drew forth his hand, and lo, it was white to the beholders. 33
