And when your Lord called out to Musa, saying: Go to the unjust people, 10 the people of Pharaoh: do they have no fear?" 11 He said: "My Lord! I fear that they will brand me a liar. 12 "And my breast straitens, and my tongue expresses not well. So send for Harun (Aaron) (to come along with me). 13 As for me, they hold the charge of a crime against me. I fear they will put me to death." 14 God said, "Indeed not; go both of you with Our signs, We shall be with you, listening [to your call]. 15 Go, then, to Pharaoh and say to him: 'The Lord of the Universe has sent us 16 (Saying): Let the Children of Israel go with us. 17 Pharaoh said: "Did we not bring you up among us when you were a child? 18 And thou didst that thy deed which thou didst, and thou wast one of the ingrates. 19 He said: I did it then when I was mistaken. 20 So I fled from you when I feared you, then my Lord granted me wisdom and made me of the apostles; 21 That is a blessing thou reproachest me with, having enslaved the Children of Israel.' 22 The Pharaoh asked, "Who is the Lord of the Universe?" 23 He said: The Lord of the heavens and the earth and what is between them, if you would be sure. 24 Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said to those around: "Do you not hear (what he says)?" 25 [And Moses] continued: "[He is] your Sustainer, [too,] as well as the Sustainer of your forefathers of old!" 26 (Pharaoh) said: Lo! your messenger who hath been sent unto you is indeed a madman! 27 He said, 'The Lord of the East and West, and what between them is, if you have understanding,' 28 (The Pharaoh) said: "If you took another god apart from me I will have you incarcerated." 29 and Moses asked, "Even if I show you a clear sign?" 30 Said Firaun, “Then bring it, if you are of the truthful.” 31 So [Moses] threw his staff, and suddenly it was a serpent manifest. 32 Then he uncovered his hand and it was sheer white to the onlookers. 33
