(Recount to them about the time) when Your Lord called Moses: "Go to the wrong-doing people, 10 “The nation of Firaun; will they not fear?” 11 He answered: "O my Sustainer! Behold, I fear that they will give me the lie, 12 My heart is constrained, my tongue falters, so delegate Aaron; 13 "And they have a charge of crime against me, and I fear they will kill me." 14 He said, “Not like this (any more); both of you go with Our signs, We are with you, All Hearing.” 15 “Therefore approach Firaun then proclaim, ‘We both are Noble Messengers of the Lord Of The Creation.’ 16 ‘That you let the Descendants of Israel go with us.’” 17 He said, 'Did we not raise thee amongst us as a child? Didst thou not tarry among us years of thy life? 18 Yet you committed the deed you did, surely you are one of the ingrates." 19 He said: I did it then, when I was of those who are astray. 20 “I therefore went away from you as I feared you – so my Lord commanded me and appointed me as one of the Noble Messengers.” 21 And is it a favor of which you remind me that you have enslaved the children of Israel? 22 Pharaoh said, "What is this: Lord of the Universe?" 23 (Moses) said: Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, if ye had but sure belief. 24 [Pharaoh] said to those around him, "Do you not hear?" 25 Moses went on, "He is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers." 26 Said he, 'Surely your Messenger who was sent to you is possessed!' 27 Moses continued: "(He is) the Lord of the east and the west, and all between them. If you only had any understanding!" 28 [Pharaoh] said, "If you take a god other than me, I will surely place you among those imprisoned." 29 'What, even if I brought you something clear' said he (Moses). 30 Said he, 'Bring it then, if thou art of the truthful.' 31 So [Musa (Moses)] threw his stick, and behold, it was a serpent, manifest. 32 Then he drew out his hand, and it was luminous to the onlookers. 33
