۞ By inspiration we told Moses: "Travel by night with my servants; for surely ye shall be pursued." 52 So Firon sent heralds into the cities; 53 'These' they said, 'are a small band, 54 And indeed, they are enraging us, 55 And indeed, we are a cautious society... " 56 So We expelled them from gardens and fountains, 57 their treasures and a noble station. 58 Thus it was: but [in the course of time] We were to bestow all these [things] as a heritage on the children of Israel. 59 And they overtook them at sunrise. 60 When the two groups came close to each other, the companions of Moses said, "We will be caught". 61 He said: Nay, verily! for lo! my Lord is with me. He will guide me. 62 Then We inspired Moses, saying: Smite the sea with thy staff. And it parted, and each part was as a mountain vast. 63 Then We brought the two parties closer. 64 We delivered Moses and every one with him, 65 But We drowned the others. 66 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 67 And yet, verily, thy Sustainer - He alone - is almighty, a dispenser of grace! 68
