۞ We revealed to Moses: "Set forth with My servants by night for you will be pursued." 52 Then Pharaoh sent into the cities summoners, 53 [bidding them to call out his troops and to proclaim:] "Behold, these [children of Israel] are but a contemptible band; 54 who have enraged us greatly. 55 We are warning all of you about them." 56 Thus did We take them away from gardens and watersprings, 57 And treasures and goodly dwellings, 58 Thus we let the Israelites inherit them all. 59 So they pursued them at sunrise. 60 When the two forces drew within seeing distance of each other, the people of Moses said: "We shall certainly be overtaken." 61 He said: By no means; surely my Lord is with me: He will show me a way out. 62 Then We inspired Musa (Moses) (saying): "Strike the sea with your stick." And it parted, and each separate part (of that sea water) became like the huge, firm mass of a mountain. 63 And We advanced thereto the pursuers. 64 And We saved Moosa and all those with him. 65 Then We drowned the others. 66 Surely there is a Sign in this, but most of them would not believe. 67 Surely, your Lord is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 68
