We saved the Children of Israel from their humiliating torment 30 They (had experienced) under the Pharaoh. He was certainly a tyrant, guilty of excess. 31 And certainly We chose them, having knowledge, above the nations. 32 and gave them such signs [of Our grace] as would clearly presage a test. 33 These men do say, 34 "There is nothing but our first death, and we shall not be resurrected. 35 Bring then our fathers if ye say so. 36 Are they better or the people of Tubba and those afore them? We destroyed them; verily they were culprits. 37 We did not idly create the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them; 38 We did not create them both but with the truth, but most of them do not know. 39 Surely the Day of Decision shall be their appointed time, all together, 40 The Day when no protector can avail his client in aught, and no help can they receive, 41 Except him on whom Allah has Mercy. Verily, He is the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 42
