۞ AND [there came a time when] We inspired Moses thus: "Go forth with My servants by night: for, behold, you will be pursued!" 52 Then the Pharaoh sent announcers to the cities, 53 [bidding them to call out his troops and to proclaim:] "Behold, these [children of Israel] are but a contemptible band; 54 they have enraged us, 55 "But we are a multitude amply fore-warned." 56 So We removed them from gardens and springs 57 Treasures, and every kind of honourable place. 58 Thus we let the Israelites inherit them all. 59 Then they pursued them at sunrise. 60 and, when the two hosts sighted each other, the companions of Moses said, 'We are overtaken!' 61 Moses replied, "No, My Lord is with me, and He will guide me." 62 Then We revealed unto Musa, saying: smite thou the sea with thy staff. So it became separated, and each part was like unto a cliff mighty. 63 And there We brought the others on, 64 We delivered Moses and all those who were with him, 65 Then drowned the others. 66 Verily! In this is indeed a sign (or a proof), yet most of them are not believers. 67 truly, your Lord is the Mighty One, the Merciful. 68
