۞ And We inspired Moses, saying: Take away My slaves by night, for ye will be pursued. 52 So Firaun sent gatherers into the cities. 53 (Proclaiming): "Surely they are a small band (of fugitives). 54 "And they are raging furiously against us; 55 “And indeed we are an alert army.” 56 So We made them leave their gardens and springs, 57 and treasures and a noble station; 58 So it was; and We made the Descendants of Israel its inheritors. 59 Then they pursued them at sunrise. 60 When the two forces drew within seeing distance of each other, the people of Moses said: "We shall certainly be overtaken." 61 He replied: Nay indeed! My Sustainer is with me, [and] He will guide me!" 62 Then We revealed to Moses, (commanding him): "Strike the sea with your rod." Thereupon the sea split up, and then each became like the mass of a huge mount. 63 And there We brought the others on, 64 And We saved Moses and those with him, all together. 65 And We drowned the others. 66 Indeed in this is surely a sign, and most of them were not Muslims. 67 Surely thy Lord, He is the All-mighty, the All-compassionate. 68
