۞ And We inspired Moses, saying: Take away My slaves by night, for ye will be pursued. 52 Then Pharaoh sent heralds to (all) the Cities, 53 saying: "These (Israelites) are only a small band of people 54 They are always harassing us. 55 And lo! we are a ready host. 56 So We expelled them from gardens and fountains, 57 and their treasures and excellent dwellings. 58 Thus it was: but [in the course of time] We were to bestow all these [things] as a heritage on the children of Israel. 59 So the Firaun’s people followed them at sunrise. 60 and, when the two hosts sighted each other, the companions of Moses said, 'We are overtaken!' 61 Moses replied, "No, My Lord is with me, and He will guide me." 62 Then We inspired Musa (Moses) (saying): "Strike the sea with your stick." And it parted, and each separate part (of that sea water) became like the huge, firm mass of a mountain. 63 And We made the other party approach thither. 64 We delivered Moses and all those who were with him, 65 And We drowned the others. 66 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 67 And lo, thy Lord! He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. 68
