Relate the news of Abraham to them. 69 When he said to his father and his people: "What do you worship?" 70 They said, "We worship idols and remain to them devoted." 71 He asked: "Do they hear you when you call them 72 Or, benefit they you or hurt they you? 73 They said, "No, but our fathers worshipped them." 74 He said: have ye observed that which ye worship 75 and what your grandfathers worshipped 76 Verily they are an enemy unto me, save the Lord of the worlds. 77 who created me, and Himself guides me, 78 and is the One who gives me to eat and to drink, 79 and when I fall ill, is the One who restores me to health, 80 and who will cause me to die and then will bring me back to life 81 and He who will, I hope, forgive me my faults on the Day of the Judgement. 82 "O my Sustainer! Endow me with the ability to judge [between right and wrong,] and make me one with the righteous, 83 Make my words come true in the future. 84 and make me of those who will inherit the Garden of Bliss, 85 And forgive my father, for surely he is of those who have gone astray; 86 Do not betray me 87 The day when neither wealth nor children will be of any avail 88 except for him who comes to God with a pure heart. 89 "To the righteous, the Garden will be brought near, 90 And the hell shall be made manifest to the erring ones, 91 And it shall be said to them: Where are those that you used to worship; 92 Instead of Allah? Can they help you or help themselves? 93 The idol worshippers, the idols, the rebellious ones, 94 And the hosts of the Shaitan, all. 95 And they will say while they dispute with one another, 96 "By God, we were most obviously astray 97 When we equalled you with the Lord of the worlds. 98 It was nothing but the evildoers who led us astray. 99 so now we have no intercessors, 100 Nor a close friend (to help us). 101 Would that we could have a chance to live again so that we might become believers." 102 There is certainly a sign in that, but most of them would not believe: 103 Verily Your Lord is Immensely Mighty, Ever Compassionate. 104

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
