1/2 Hizb 45

۞ “Gather all the unjust persons and their spouses, and all that they used to worship!” 22 besides God, and show them the way of hell. 23 and stop them there for questioning: 24 What is the matter with you that you do not help each other? 25 Nay! on that day they shall be submissive. 26 and approach each other with questions, 27 They shall say: Surely you used to come to us from the right side. 28 They will say: "No, you were the ones who would not believe. 29 We had no authority over you, but you were an insolent nation. 30 "So now the Word of our Lord has been justified against us, that we shall certainly (have to) taste (the torment). 31 "We led you astray: for truly we were ourselves astray." 32 On that Day, they will all share the chastisement. 33 Thus do We treat the culprits. 34 Indeed, when it was said to them, “There is no God except Allah”, they were haughty. 35 and said: “Shall we forsake our deities for the sake of a distracted poet?” 36 Aye! he hath come with the truth, and he confesseth to the sent ones. 37 Ye shall indeed taste of the Grievous Penalty;- 38 and be rewarded only according to your deeds." 39 But the chosen servants of God; 40 For them is the sustenance known to Us. 41 Fruits; and they shall be honoured, 42 In Gardens of peace. 43 On couches facing one another; 44 There will be circulated among them a cup [of wine] from a flowing spring, 45 White, a pleasure unto the drinkers. 46 Neither does it intoxicate, nor give a headache. 47 They will have with them loving wives with big black and white eyes 48 (Delicate and pure) as if they were (hidden) eggs (well) preserved. 49 Then they will turn to one another and question one another. 50 One of them will say: 'I had a companion 51 Who said: art thou of those who confess to the doctrine of Resurrection: 52 What! when we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then be certainly brought to judgment? 53 Do you want to see him?' " 54 So he looked down and saw him in the midst of the Fire. 55 'By God', he said, 'you had almost ruined me. 56 Had it not been for the grace of my Lord I too would have been there (in Hell). 57 Are we not then to die 58 except for our first death, and are we not chastised? 59 Verily, this - this indeed - is the triumph supreme!" 60 For the like of this, then, let them labour, those who labour [in God's way]! 61 Is that better as a hospitality, or the Tree of Ez-Zakkoum? 62 For We have truly made it (as) a trial for the wrong-doers. 63 For it is a tree that springs out of the bottom of Hellfire: 64 Its produce is as it were the heads of the serpents. 65 So indeed they will eat from it, and fill their bellies with it. 66 then on top of it they have a brew of boiling water, 67 And thereafter verily their return is unto the Flaming Fire. 68 They found their fathers in error, 69 So they (too) were rushed down on their footsteps! 70 And truly before them, many of the ancients went astray;- 71 And verily We sent among them warners. 72 and behold, how was the end of them that were warned, 73 Except the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 74
