The people of Nuh (Noah) belied the Messengers. 105 When their brother Noah said unto them: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 106 "I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 107 So fear Allah and obey me. 108 For this I ask of you no wage, for my wage falls only on the Lord of the Worlds. 109 So fear Allah and obey me. 110 ۞ They said: shall We believe in thee when the meanest follow thee? 111 He said, “What do I know what their deeds are?” 112 It is for my Lord to bring them to book, if you can understand. 113 Hence, I shall not drive away [any of] those [who profess to be] believers; 114 I am only a Prophet. 115 They said: "If thou desist not, O Noah! thou shalt be stoned (to death)." 116 [Whereupon] he prayed: "O my Sustainer! Behold, my people have given me the lie: 117 Then judge between me and them with decisive judgement and save me and those with me of the believers." 118 And We saved him and those with him in the laden ship. 119 Then after it, We drowned the rest. 120 Lo! herein is indeed a portent, yet most of them are not believers. 121 Your Lord is Majestic and All-merciful. 122
