Ad gave the lie to the apostles. 123 when their brother Hood said to them, 'Will you not be godfearing? 124 I am for you an honest Messenger. 125 so fear you God, and obey you me. 126 I seek of you no reward for this; my reward is with none but the Lord of the Universe. 127 Build ye on every high place a monument for vain delight? 128 “And prefer strong palaces, that perhaps you may live for ever?” 129 When you attack, you attack as tyrants do. 130 So guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me 131 Keep your duty toward Him Who hath aided you with (the good things) that ye know, 132 Who has provided you with flocks and children 133 And gardens and watersprings. 134 for, verily, I fear lest suffering befall you on an awesome day!" 135 They said: "It is the same to us whether you preach or be not of those who preach. 136 this is nothing but a habit of the ancients: 137 And we are not going to be tormented. 138 So they rejected him, and We destroyed them. Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
