'Ad (people) belied the Messengers. 123 Their brother Hud said to them, "Will you not fear God? 124 “I am indeed a trustworthy Noble Messenger of Allah to you.” 125 Fear Allah and obey me. 126 And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds. 127 Do you build monuments on every high place in vanity, 128 and do you take to you castles, haply to dwell forever? 129 "And when you seize, seize you as tyrants? 130 So fear Allah, and obey me. 131 And fear Him Who hath aided you with that which ye know. 132 Provided you with grazing livestock and children 133 and gardens, and springs: 134 Verily I fear for you the torment of a Mighty Day. 135 They said: It is all one to us whether thou preachest or art not of those who preach; 136 your preaching is nothing but ancient legends and we shall not face any torment". 137 And we shall not be doomed. 138 So they belied him, and We destroyed them. Verily! In this is indeed a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 139 But, verily, thy Sustainer - He alone - is almighty, a dispenser of grace! 140
