Samood gave the lie to the apostles 141 When their brother Salih (Saleh) said to them: "Will you not fear Allah and obey Him? 142 "I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 143 “Therefore fear Allah and obey me.” 144 For this I demand no recompense from you; my reward is only with the Lord of the Universe. 145 Will you be left secure in this, 146 Within gardens and springs 147 "And corn-fields and date-palms with spathes near breaking (with the weight of fruit)? 148 Though ye hew out dwellings in the mountain, being skilful? 149 So fear Allah and obey me. 150 "And follow not the command of Al-Musrifun [i.e. their chiefs, leaders who were polytheists, criminals and sinners], 151 Who work corruption in the land and rectify not. 152 They replied: "You are nothing but one of those who are bewitched; 153 You are but a human like ourselves. Produce for us a sign, if you are of the truthful' 154 He said, “This is the she-camel one day shall be her turn to drink, and on the other appointed day, shall be your turn.” 155 Do not treat her unkindly or the punishment of a grievous day will fall on you." 156 But they hamstrung her and then regretted it. 157 and torment struck them. In this there is evidence of the Truth, yet many people do not have any faith. 158 And verily thy Lord! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 159

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
