The people of Lot rejected the Messengers, branding them liars. 160 When their brother Lot said to them, "Will you not fear Allah? 161 Lo! I am a faithful messenger unto you, 162 Therefore guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me: 163 "No reward do I ask of you for it (my Message of Islamic Monotheism), my reward is only from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 164 Go ye in, of all creatures, unto the males? 165 And leave what your Lord has created for you as mates? But you are a people transgressing." 166 They said: if thou desistest not, O Lut! thou shalt surely be of those driven forth. 167 He said, 'Truly I am a detester of what you do. 168 My Lord, deliver me and my people from that they do.' 169 So We saved him and all his people, 170 Except one old woman who remained behind. 171 Thereafter, We utterly destroyed the rest, 172 And We rained on them a rain (of torment). And how evil was the rain of those who had been warned. 173 Verily herein is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 174 Yet surely your Lord is mighty and powerful. 175
