The people of Lot cried lies to the Envoys 160 When their brother Lot said to them, "Will you not fear Allah? 161 I am for you a faithful Messenger, 162 So keep your duty to Allah and obey me. 163 I ask of you no wage for this; my wage is only with the Lord of the Worlds. 164 “What! Among all the creatures, you commit the immoral acts with men?” 165 Leaving the consorts your Lord has made for you? But you are a people who exceed the bounds." 166 They said, "Lot, if you do not give up preaching, you will certainly be expelled (from this town)". 167 [Lot] exclaimed: "Behold, I am one of those who utterly abhor your doings!" 168 [And then he prayed:] "O my Sustainer! Save me and my household from all that they are doing!" 169 So We saved him and his whole family 170 except an old woman who stayed behind, 171 But the rest We destroyed utterly. 172 And We rained down upon them a rain, and evil was the rain on those warned. 173 Surely in this there is a sign: but most of them would not believe: 174 But, verily, thy Sustainer - He alone - is almighty, a dispenser of grace! 175
