The Companions of the Rocky Tract also rejected the messengers: 80 And though We had given them Our signs they turned away from them. 81 And they hewed houses in the mountains in security. 82 But the (mighty) Blast seized them of a morning, 83 and of no avail to them was all [the power] that they had acquired. 84 We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is in between them except with Truth. Surely the Hour will come. So, (O Muhammad), do graciously overlook them (despite their misdeeds). 85 Surely your Lord is the Creator and knows (everything). 86 (Muhammad), We have given you the seven most repeated (verses) and the great Quran. 87 Look not with your eyes ambitiously at what We have bestowed on certain classes of them (the disbelievers), nor grieve over them. And lower your wings for the believers (be courteous to the fellow-believers). 88 And say thou: verily I! I am a plain warner. 89 (We have given you the Quran) as We had given (the Bible) to those who divided themselves into groups 90 Those who made the Quran into shreds. 91 By thy Lord, We will question them all. 92 about what they did. 93 Therefore proclaim openly (Allah's Message Islamic Monotheism) that which you are commanded, and turn away from Al-Mushrikun (polytheists, idolaters, and disbelievers, etc. - see V. 2:105). 94 We suffice you against those who mock, 95 Those who ascribe another God along with Allah; so they will soon come to know. 96 We certainly know that their statements sorely grieve you. 97 So glorify the praises of your Lord and be of those who prostrate themselves (to Him). 98 and worship thy Sustainer till death comes to thee. 99
