The people of Lut rejected the messengers. 160 when their brother Lot said to them, 'Will you not be godfearing? 161 Verily I am unto you an apostle trusted. 162 "So fear Allah and obey me. 163 "No reward do I ask of you for it (my Message of Islamic Monotheism), my reward is only from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 164 What! Of all creatures do ye come unto the males, 165 instead of your wives, whom your Lord has created specially for you? You are a transgressing people." 166 They said, “O Lut, if you do not desist, you will be expelled.” 167 He said, "Indeed, I am, toward your deed, of those who detest [it]. 168 My Lord, save me and my family from [the consequence of] what they do." 169 We saved him and all of his family 170 Except an old woman, among those who remained behind. 171 Then We destroyed the others. 172 and We sent upon them a rain, an evil rain that fell on those who had been warned. 173 Surely in this there is a sign: but most of them would not believe: 174 And most surely your Lord is the Mighty, the Merciful. 175
