The people of Lut denied the Noble Messengers. 160 When their brother Lot said to them: 'Will you not be cautious? 161 Surely I am a faithful apostle to you; 162 so fear God and obey me. 163 “And I do not ask from you any fee for it; my reward is only upon the Lord Of The Creation.” 164 Go ye in, of all creatures, unto the males? 165 keeping yourselves aloof from all the [lawful] spouses whom your Sustainer has created for you? Nay, but you are people who transgress all bounds of what is right!" 166 They said, "Lot, if you do not give up preaching, you will certainly be expelled (from this town)". 167 He said, "I certainly hate what you practice. 168 (And prayed:) "O Lord, save me and my family from what they do." 169 We saved him and all of his family, 170 Save an old woman among those who stayed behind. 171 Then We destroyed the rest of them, 172 by pouring upon them a terrible shower of rain. How evil was the rain for those who had been warned! 173 Surely in that is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 174 Your Lord, He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 175
