The people of Lot rejected the Messengers, branding them liars. 160 When their brother Lot said to them: 'Will you not be cautious? 161 I have been sent as a trusted messenger to you. 162 So fear Allah, and obey me. 163 I seek of you no reward. My reward is with none but the Lord of the Universe. 164 What, do you come to male beings, 165 And leave ye your spouses your Lord hath created for you? Aye! ye are a people trespassing. 166 They said: "If you do not desist, O Lot, you will be expelled (from the city)." 167 He said, “I am disgusted with your works.” 168 'My Lord, save me and my people from that they are doing' 169 So We saved him and his family, all, 170 Except an old woman (his wife) among those who remained behind. 171 Then afterward We destroyed the others. 172 And We rained on them a rain (of torment). And how evil was the rain of those who had been warned. 173 Surely in that is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 174 And verily thy Lord! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 175
