The companions of the thicket denied the messengers 176 When Shu'aib (Shuaib) said to them: "Will you not fear Allah (and obey Him)? 177 Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger. 178 “Therefore fear Allah and obey me.” 179 I ask of you no reward for this. My reward is with none but the Lord of the Universe. 180 ۞ Give full measure, and be not of those who give less (than the due). 181 and [in all your dealings] weigh with a true balance, 182 And do not wrong men of their things, and do not act corruptly in the earth, making mischief. 183 Have fear of the One who has created you and the generations that lived before you." 184 They said: "Surely you are deluded. 185 And you are naught but a mortal like ourselves, and we know you to be certainly of the liars. 186 But in case you are speaking the truth, then make a segment of the sky to fall upon us." 187 He said, “My Lord is Well Aware of what you do.” 188 But they cried him lies; then there seized them the chastisement of the Day of Shadow; assuredly it was the chastisement of a dreadful day. 189 Surely, in that there is a sign; yet most of them do not believe. 190 And verily thy Lord! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 191
