The dwellers of the wood belied the sent ones. 176 Shu'aib said to them: 'Will you not be cautious? 177 I am for you a faithful Messenger, so fear you God, and obey you me. 178 So keep your duty to Allah and obey me. 179 my wage falls only upon the Lord of all Being. 180 ۞ Give full measure, and be not of those who cause others to lose. 181 Weigh your goods with proper balance 182 and do not deliver short, and do not go about creating mischief in the land, 183 So fear Him Who created you and the former generations. 184 They said: You are only of those deluded; 185 “You are just a human like us, and indeed we consider you a liar.” 186 Then drop down on us lumps from heaven, if thou art one of the truthful.' 187 He said, "My Lord knows all that you do." 188 And they denied him, so the punishment of the day of the black cloud seized them. Indeed, it was the punishment of a terrible day. 189 Surely there is a Sign in this, but most of them would not believe. 190 And verily! Your Lord, He is indeed the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 191
