Ad cried lies to the Envoys 123 Recall, when their brother Hud said to them: "Have you no fear? 124 I am a trustworthy Messengers sent to you. 125 So fear Allah and obey me. 126 “And I do not ask from you any fee for it; my reward is only upon the Lord Of The Creation.” 127 "Do you build useless monuments on every mountain 128 and erect castles hoping that you will live forever. 129 When you assault, you assault like tyrants! 130 "Now fear Allah, and obey me. 131 fear Him who has aided you with all that you know -- 132 “He aided you with cattle and sons.” 133 gardens and fountains. 134 I fear for you the chastisement of an Awesome Day." 135 They said, "It is all the same to us whether you advise or are not of the advisors. 136 "This is no other than a customary device of the ancients, 137 “And we will not be punished.” 138 So they rejected him; and We destroyed them. There is certainly a sign in that; but most of them would not believe. 139 But, verily, thy Sustainer - He alone - is almighty, a dispenser of grace! 140
