The dwellers of the forest also rejected the Messengers. 176 When Shu'aib said to them: "Will you not take heed? 177 “I am indeed a trustworthy Noble Messenger of Allah to you.” 178 be, then, conscious of God, and pay heed unto me! 179 I ask no recompense of you for this. My reward is due from none but the Lord of all the worlds. 180 ۞ Give full measure, and cause no loss to others. 181 "And weigh with the true and straight balance. 182 And do not deprive people of their due and do not commit abuse on earth, spreading corruption. 183 "And fear Him Who created you and the generations of the men of old." 184 They said: thou art but of the bewitched; 185 “You are just a human like us, and indeed we consider you a liar.” 186 Cause, then, fragments of the sky to fall down upon us, if thou art a man of truth!" 187 He said: My Lord knows best what you do. 188 But they rejected him. Then the punishment of a day of overshadowing gloom seized them, and that was the Penalty of a Great Day. 189 Indeed in this is a sign; and most of them were not Muslims. 190 And verily thy Lord! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 191
