The dwellers of Al-Aiyka [near Madyan (Midian)] belied the Messengers. 176 When Shu'aib said to them: Will you not guard (against evil)? 177 I have been sent as a trusted messenger to you. 178 So fear Allah, and obey me. 179 I ask no recompense of you for this. My reward is due from none but the Lord of all the worlds. 180 ۞ Give full measure, and be not of those who cause others to lose. 181 “And weigh with a proper balance.” 182 And do not deprive people of their due and do not commit abuse on earth, spreading corruption. 183 Fear Him who created you and those who have gone before you." 184 They said: "Surely you are deluded. 185 You are but a man like ourselves, and indeed, we think you are among the liars. 186 Then drop down on us lumps from heaven, if thou art one of the truthful.' 187 He said: My Lord is Best Aware of what ye do. 188 But they belied him, then the punishment of the Day of Shadow (raining fire) seized them. Truly, it was the punishment of a dreadful day. 189 Surely, in this is indeed a sign; but most of them would not believe: 190 And verily! Your Lord, He is indeed the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 191
