The dwellers in the wood (of Midian) denied the messengers (of Allah), 176 Shu'ayb said to them, "Will you not fear God? 177 Verily I am unto you an apostle trusted. 178 So fear Allah and obey me. 179 "No reward do I ask of you for it (my Message of Islamic Monotheism), my reward is only from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 180 ۞ Fill up the measure, do not be among the cheats, 181 And weigh with a balance straight. 182 and do not diminish the goods of the people, and do not make mischief in the earth, working corruption. 183 but be conscious of Him who has created you, just as [He created] those countless generations of old!" 184 They said, “You are under a magic spell.” 185 You are nothing but a man like us, and we think you are a liar. 186 Cause, then, fragments of the sky to fall down upon us, if thou art a man of truth!" 187 Answered [Shu'ayb]: "My Sustainer knows fully well what you are doing." 188 But they belied him, then the punishment of the Day of Shadow (raining fire) seized them. Truly, it was the punishment of a dreadful day. 189 Lo! herein is indeed a portent; yet most of them are not believers. 190 And verily! Your Lord, He is indeed the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 191
