The dwellers of the forest also rejected the Messengers. 176 When Shu'aib said to them: Will you not guard (against evil)? 177 I have been sent as a trusted messenger to you. 178 So fear Allah, and obey me. 179 And I ask of you no wage for it; my wage is the concern only of the Lord of the Worlds. 180 ۞ Give a full measure and be not of those who diminish; 181 And weigh with an even balance. 182 and do not deliver short, and do not go about creating mischief in the land, 183 And keep your duty unto Him Who created you and the generations of the men of old. 184 They said: "You are no more than one of those who have been bewitched, 185 "You are but a human being like us and verily, we think that you are one of the liars! 186 Cause, then, fragments of the sky to fall down upon us, if thou art a man of truth!" 187 Shuayb said: "My Lord knows well all what you do." 188 But they called him a liar, so the punishment of the day of covering overtook them; surely it was the punishment of a grievous day. 189 In this [story,] behold, there is a message [unto men,] even though most of them will not believe [in it]. 190 But, verily, thy Sustainer - He alone - is almighty, a dispenser of grace! 191
