Q (Qaaf)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Qaf. CONSIDER this sublime Qur'an! 1 Nay; they wondered that a warner should have come to them from among themselves. The unbelievers said: “This indeed is a strange thing. 2 When we are dead and turned to dust, this returning (to life) is most far-fetched." 3 We know what the earth diminishes of them; with Us is a book recording. 4 But they denied the truth when it came to them, so they are in a confused condition. 5 Have they not observed the sky above them and marked how We have built it and adorned it, leaving no flaws in it; 6 And (how) We have spread the earth, and placed mountains as anchors in it, and have grown all kinds of beautiful pairs in it? 7 A vision and a reminder for every penitent slave. 8 And We send down from the cloud water abounding in good, then We cause to grow thereby gardens and the grain that is reaped, 9 And tall date-palms laden with clusters ranged. 10 as sustenance apportioned to men; and by [all] this We bring dead land to life: [and] even so will be [man's] coming-forth from death. 11 And before them the people of Nuh belied, and so did the dwellers of Rass and the Thamud. 12 and Aad, Pharaoh and the brothers of Lot, 13 And the dwellers of the Wood, and the people of Tubba'; everyone of them denied (their) Messengers, so My Threat took effect. 14 Did We fail to accomplish the first creation? Of course, We did not; We have all power over all things. Yet they are confused about a new creation. 15
