The People of the Woods denied the Noble Messengers. 176 Shu'ayb said to them, "Will you not fear God? 177 “I am indeed a trustworthy Noble Messenger of Allah to you.” 178 Therefore guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me: 179 I ask of you no reward for this. My reward is with none but the Lord of the Universe. 180 ۞ "Give just measure, and cause no loss (to others by fraud). 181 Weigh your goods with proper balance 182 "And withhold not things justly due to men, nor do evil in the land, working mischief. 183 but be conscious of Him who has created you, just as [He created] those countless generations of old!" 184 They said: thou art but of the bewitched; 185 “You are just a human like us, and indeed we consider you a liar.” 186 So cause a piece of the sky to fall upon us if you are truthful." 187 He said: 'My Lord knows what you are doing' 188 But they denied him, and We seized them with the torment of the Day of Shadowing (when the cloud had rained down fire). It was indeed the torment of a terrible day! 189 In this [story,] behold, there is a message [unto men,] even though most of them will not believe [in it]. 190 But, verily, thy Sustainer - He alone - is almighty, a dispenser of grace! 191
