Truly it is the revelation of the Lord of all Being, 192 brought down by the Faithful Spirit 193 Upon your heart, [O Muhammad] - that you may be of the warners - 194 In plain Arabic language. 195 And verily, [the essence of] this [revelation] is indeed found in the ancient books of divine wisdom [as well]. 196 Was it not a proof for them that the learned men of Israel knew about this? 197 And if We had revealed it (this Quran) unto any of the non-Arabs, 198 And had he recited it to them, they would not have believed in it. 199 Even so, We have caused it to enter into the hearts of harmdoers: 200 They will not believe it until they behold the painful punishment. 201 The torment will strike them suddenly without their knowledge. 202 Then they will say: "Can we be respited?" 203 What! do they still seek to hasten on Our punishment? 204 Think! If We let them enjoy life for some years, 205 and thereupon that [chastisement] which they were promised befalls them 206 They would not be availed by the enjoyment with which they were provided. 207 Never have We destroyed a town without sending down messengers to warn it, 208 for a reminder; and never did We wrong. 209 Not by the Satans has it been brought down; 210 It is not meet for them, nor is it in their power, 211 They have been precluded from hearing it. 212 So call not on any other god with Allah, or thou wilt be among those under the Penalty. 213 And warn thy tribe of near kindred, 214 And take those believers under your wing who follow you. 215 If they disobey you, say: 'I am quit of what you do' 216 And rely upon (Allah) the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 217 who sees you when you stand up [for prayer], 218 And watches your movements among those who prostrate in prayer. 219 Verily! He, only He, is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower. 220 O people, shall I tell you on whom it is that satans descend? 221 They come down to every mendacious sinner, 222 They listen, but most of them are liars. 223 As for poets, only the wayward follow them. 224 Seest thou not that they wander distracted in every valley?- 225 And how they say that which they do not? 226 Not so the true believers who do good works and remember God with fervour and defend themselves only after they are wronged. The wrongdoers will soon know how evil a turn their affairs will take. 227

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
