And verily it is a revelation of the Lord of the worlds. 192 which the truthful spirit has carried down 193 Upon thy heart, that thou mayest be of the warners, 194 (a revelation) in clear Arabic language, 195 And verily, [the essence of] this [revelation] is indeed found in the ancient books of divine wisdom [as well]. 196 Was it not a sign for them, that it is known to the learned of the Children of Israel? 197 Had We revealed it to a man of obscure tongue 198 they would still not have believed in it. 199 Even so We have caused it to enter into the hearts of the sinners, 200 they will not believe in it till they behold the grievous suffering 201 And it will come to them suddenly while they perceive [it] not. 202 They will therefore say, "Will we get some respite?" 203 Seek haste then they with our torment? 204 What thinkest thou? If We give them enjoyment of days for many years, 205 and then the chastisement of which they were being warned were to come upon them, 206 of what avail would their past enjoyment be to them? 207 And We destroyed no township but it had its warners 208 To warn. For We are never unjust. 209 It was not the devils who brought down the Quran: 210 neither are they worthy of it, nor are they capable of it, 211 indeed they are debarred from overhearing it. 212 So do not call upon another god with Allah, lest you should be one of those who are punished. 213 And admonish thy nearest kinsmen, 214 And be kind to him who follows you of the believers. 215 If they disobey you, tell them, "I condemn your disobedient deeds". 216 and place thy trust in the Almighty, the Dispenser of Grace, 217 Who seeth thee standing forth (in prayer), 218 and observes your movements among those who prostrate themselves. 219 Indeed only He is the All Hearing, the All Knowing. 220 Shall I inform you (of him) upon whom the Shaitans descend? 221 They come down to every mendacious sinner, 222 Who gives ear (to the devils and they pour what they may have heard of the unseen from the angels), and most of them are liars. 223 And the Poets,- It is those straying in Evil, who follow them: 224 Do you not see that they wander about bewildered in every valley? 225 And they say what they do not do, 226 Save those that believe, and do righteous deeds, and remember God oft, and help themselves after being wronged; and those who do wrong shall surely know by what overturning they will be overturned. 227
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
