Truly it is the revelation of the Lord of all Being, 192 which the truthful spirit has carried down 193 To thy heart and mind, that thou mayest admonish. 194 In a clear Arabic language. 195 And verily, [the essence of] this [revelation] is indeed found in the ancient books of divine wisdom [as well]. 196 And has it not been a sign to them that it is recognized by the scholars of the Children of Israel? 197 And if We had revealed it (this Quran) unto any of the non-Arabs, 198 and he had recited it to them, they would not have believed in it. 199 We have thus caused denial of truth to enter into the hearts of the sinners: 200 they will not believe in it until they see the grievous punishment. 201 The torment will strike them suddenly without their knowledge. 202 and they will say, 'Shall we be respited?' 203 Would they then wish for Our Torment to be hastened on? 204 Beholdest thou? if We let them enjoy for years. 205 And then what they were promised comes upon them, 206 of what avail to them will be all their past enjoyments? 207 We never destroyed a village that did not have warners 208 To remind, and We are never unjust. 209 The satans have not revealed the Quran; 210 They are not worthy of it, nor have they power. 211 Truly, they are expelled from hearing. 212 So call not thou unto another god along with Allah, lest thou be of the doomed. 213 Warn your close relatives 214 And take those believers under your wing who follow you. 215 Then if they disobey you, say: "I am innocent of what you do." 216 And rely upon the Exalted in Might, the Merciful, 217 Who seeth thee standing forth (in prayer), 218 and when thou turnest about among those who bow. 219 He is the All Hearing, the All Knowing. 220 Shall I tell you upon whom the devils descend? 221 They come to every sinful liar. 222 Who give ear, and most of them are liars. 223 And the Poets,- It is those straying in Evil, who follow them: 224 Art thou not aware that they roam confusedly through all the valleys [of words and thoughts,] 225 and how they say that which they do not? 226 Except those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism), and do righteous deeds, and remember Allah much, and reply back (in poetry) to the unjust poetry (which the pagan poets utter against the Muslims). And those who do wrong will come to know by what overturning they will be overturned. 227
