And those who disbelieve say: "When we have become dust, we and our fathers, shall we really be brought forth (again)? 67 It was promised to us and to our fathers before us. It is only ancient legends." 68 Say, "Roam across the earth and observe what was the end of the sinful ones." 69 And grieve thou not over them nor be straitened because of that which they plot. 70 And [when] they ask, "When is this promise [of resurrection] to be fulfilled? [Answer this, O you who believe in it,] if you are men of truth!" 71 Say: "The chastisement whose hastening you have been asking for, maybe a part of it has drawn quite near to you." 72 And indeed, your Lord is full of bounty for the people, but most of them do not show gratitude." 73 Surely, your Lord knows what they hide in their hearts and what they reveal. 74 there is nothing hidden in heaven and on earth, but is recorded in a clear Book. 75 Verily this Qur'an doth explain to the Children of Israel most of the matters in which they disagree. 76 And lo! it is a guidance and a mercy for believers. 77 And verily thine Lord shall decide between them with His judgment, and He is the Mighty, the Knowing. 78 So rely upon Allah; indeed, you are upon the clear truth. 79 You cannot make the dead to listen, or the deaf to hear the call, when they have turned their backs, 80 just as thou canst not lead the blind [of heart] out of their error; none canst thou make hear save such as [are willing to] believe in Our messages, and thus surrender themselves unto Us. 81 ۞ And when the time for the fulfilment of Our Word against them will come, We shall bring forth for them a beast from the earth who will speak to them because people did not believe in Our Signs. 82
