Those who do not believe, say: "When we and our fathers have turned to dust, how shall we be raised again? 67 We were promised this, forsooth, we and our fathers. (All) this is naught but fables of the men of old. 68 Say, [O Muhammad], "Travel through the land and observe how was the end of the criminals." 69 And grieve you not for them, nor be straitened (in distress) because of what they plot. 70 And [when] they ask, "When is this promise [of resurrection] to be fulfilled? [Answer this, O you who believe in it,] if you are men of truth!" 71 Say, "Perhaps it is close behind you - some of that for which you are impatient. 72 Verily your Lord is gracious to men, though most men are ungrateful. 73 Verily your Lord knows what lies hidden in their breasts and what they disclose. 74 There is nothing of the hidden in the heavens and the earth that is not recorded in the luminous Book. 75 Surely, this Koran relates to the Children of Israel most of that which they are at variance. 76 And most surely it is a guidance and a mercy for the believers. 77 Surely your Lord will judge between them by his judgment, and He is the Mighty, the knowing. 78 So put thy trust in Allah: for thou art on (the path of) manifest Truth. 79 Indeed the dead* do not listen to your call nor do the deaf* listen to your call, when they flee turning back. (The dead and deaf implies the disbelievers.) 80 Nor can you lead the blind out of their error, you can only make to hear those who believe in Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), and who have submitted (themselves to Allah in Islam as Muslims). 81 ۞ And when the Word falls on them, We will bring out from the earth a beast that shall speak to them: 'Indeed the people were not certain of Our verses.' 82
