The people of Nooh denied the Noble Messengers. 105 Behold, their brother Noah said to them: "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 106 I am a trustworthy Messenger sent to you. 107 "So fear Allah, keep your duty to Him, and obey me. 108 I ask no recompense of you for it. My reward is due from none but the Lord of all the worlds. 109 Have fear of God and obey me." 110 ۞ They answered: "Shall we place our faith in thee, even though [only] the most abject [of people] follow thee?" 111 He said: "It is not for me to know what they were doing. 112 "Their account is only with my Lord, if you could (but) know. 113 And I am not to drive away the believers. 114 “I am not but clearly a Herald of Warning.” 115 They said: "If thou desist not, O Noah! thou shalt be stoned (to death)." 116 He said: My Lord! Lo! my own folk deny me. 117 Then judge between me and them with decisive judgement and save me and those with me of the believers." 118 And so We saved him and those [who were] with him in the fully-laden ark, 119 afterwards, We drowned the rest. 120 There is certainly a sign in that; but most of them do not believe: 121 And thy Lord! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 122
