Those who do not believe, say: "When we and our fathers have turned to dust, how shall we be raised again? 67 Indeed, we were promised this - we and our forefathers - in the past as well; it is nothing but fables of ancient times!" 68 Say: "Go all over the earth and behold what happened in the end to those [who were thus] lost in sin!" 69 (O Prophet), do not grieve over them, nor be distressed at their designs. 70 And they say: When (will) this promise (be fulfilled), if ye are truthful? 71 Say: "The chastisement whose hastening you have been asking for, maybe a part of it has drawn quite near to you." 72 Truly, your Lord is bountiful to mankind, but most of them are not grateful. 73 And verily thine Lord knoweth whatsoever their breasts conceal and whatsoever they make known. 74 There is not a thing hidden in the heaven and earth except that it is in a Clear Book. 75 Indeed this Qur'an explains to the children of Israel much of what they are at variance. 76 And truly, it (this Quran) is a guide and a mercy to the believers. 77 Surely thy Lord will decide between them by His Judgment; He is the All-mighty, the All-knowing. 78 So you place your trust in God. Certainly you stand on positive truth. 79 Verily thou canst not make the dead hear, nor canst thou make the deaf hear the call when they flee turning their backs. 80 just as thou canst not lead the blind [of heart] out of their error; none canst thou make hear save such as [are willing to] believe in Our messages, and thus surrender themselves unto Us. 81 ۞ And when the time for the fulfilment of Our Word against them will come, We shall bring forth for them a beast from the earth who will speak to them because people did not believe in Our Signs. 82
